Mar. 03, 1958 - Ideal Homes exhibition opens at Olympia. The German made roof house: One of the most interesting items at the Ideal Homes Exhibition which opened at Olympia today is the Roof house'. It is of German construction and in the first instance the roof is constructed on the ground and in its shelter are constructed three bedrooms a living room, kitchen, dining room and bathroom. When finances permit a ground floor is constructed to make a two storeyed house. The roof section is then hoisted on top of this new section.
