Dec. 19 Athos Monastery republic: Another recurring features of Athos monasteries is the Trapeza of refectory, where cenobitio monks have their meals in common. This is the trapeza of Vatopedi Monsatery. It is only used on feast days, as Vatopedi has adopted the idiorythmic way of life. In the upper storey of that building is located the library, housing Vatopedi's priceless manuscripts
