Sep. 09, 1959 - Design For The City Of The Future. Motopia - Roads Over The Roof Tops. Design for Motopia has been produced by the Class Age Development Committee- in which the entire ground space is free for pedestriane - the roads being constructed over the roof tops. It is an idea for towns of the future probably about 50 years ahead. The designs have provision for Squares - lakes - private gardens - flats - homes shops etc. The cost is estimated at 60, 000, 000 for a town of 30, 000 people - classed as of the middle income group with rentals of 500 for houses of flats with double bedrooms and one single room.
