Feb. 25 Eastern Look for Tokyo's Eiffel Tower. Although Tokyo's new 1.082 foot TV tower will be a duplicate of the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, the surrounding scenery will be different. And despite the well known fact that Paris is considered a hot spot, it is not hot enough to grow palm trees. The tower will be 40 feet higher than the one in Paris and is built to stand up to typhoon winds with a velocity of 200 miles per hour. The highest typhoon wind so far recorded in Tokyo was 136.4 mph in 1939, ans was named the Muroto Typhoon. International air companies are concerned about the new Tokyo Tower saying it make flying hazard to planes taking off and landing at nearby Haneda the International Airport of Tokyo
