The smallest church in the world: Made entirely of seashells and stones given to builder In the grounds of a former Roman Catholic college at Les Vauxbelets on the island of Guernsey is what is claimed to be the smallest church in the world. So small is it only a priest, and a congregation of two, can find room within. This amazingly beautiful tiny place of worship was the life work of one of the Brothers of the college. He designed it, collected the building materials of seashells and stones from visitors from all over the world who came to the college. The material used lands the little church a peculiar beauty and charm all its own. It is built in the style of the church of Our Lady at Lourdes, and is regularly visited today
