Feb. 29 They've started work at Caernarvon castle.: Preparations for the Investiture of the Prince of Wales have commenced up at Caenervon Castle. In spite of severe weather, a force of workman are working to a plan which will end with the completed stands, platforms, enclosures and other apparatus of a State function, with all its panoply of splendour and pomp, tempered with the style of this modern age. Several months of labour of Ministry of Works men and sub-contractors is being undertaken to ensure every detail is according to the book or precedent and only varied as agreed by the authorities organising Wales greatest day. The castle was closed to the public on February 1st and will remain shut until after the ceremony. Already tons of steel scaffolding has arrived and some of the VIP stands are taking shape.
