Feb. 29 Thomas Mann's summer house which he had built on a plateau over looking the Courland Laggon (Kurisches Hoff), a sound of the Baltic Sea, in Nidden, East Prusiia (now Soviet Union). the house was later used by Hermann Goring as a hunting lodge
