Mar. 22 The Entrance Passage To Belvoir Castle The entrance to the main hall of the castle is lined with muskets said to have been used at Waterloo. The design is based on that of Lincoln Cathedral. Above the muskets hang water buckets painted with the cypher of the Duke. Off this passage is a room known as speak a word room in which the Dukes used to interview their tenantry
