Sep. 09, 1960 - Venice - Comes To Rome! Floods At The Olympic Village: Many carts of Rome - including the Olympic Games areas were subjected to minor floods yesterday - after the sudden very heavy rainstorm - which was accompanied by thunder and lightning. Water poured over the drains which were blocked after the months of tropical sunshine. This picture was taken at Midnight last night in the centre of the Olympics Village - where many of the athletes had to do a spot of wading to get to their quarters. Difficulties were added to by the numerous power failures - caused by the storm
