Century Building is removed on one piece to a Temporary site in Hereford: After six years of negotiations with the Hereford City Council a 17th, century four-storey building was saved from being demolished to make room for the building of a chain store. Today it was jacked up 4 feet from it's foundations and transported on a trolley vehicle down the High Street to a temporary site alongside the City's historical Town House. In six months time it will be brought back to be incorporated in the chain store. Photo shows Crowds gather around the historic building during the removal operations in Hereford High Street today
