Nov. 13, 1960 - Sensation at Tower Bridge. Mans Says He is Going to Dive from Top. There was a sensation at Tower Bridge this afternoon ? when a man climbed from ground level to the top of the high bridge supports ? saying that it was his intention to dive into the river. Police were soon on the scene - and climbed up to him and eventually persuaded him not to jump because the water was much to shallow. A Fire engine was called - and the man was helped to the ground and taken into custody by the police. It was learned that he is 40 year old Johnny Sanger.
