Oct. 10, 1962 - On a 350 ft Chimney for His Honeymoon Steeplejack Harry Walker, 49, has spend his honeymoon in a decorator's cradle 350 ft. above the Thames. He said yesterday It could have been worse. At least the view was nice'. Harry and two colleagues were given a three week deadline to paint the chimney stack at Battersea Power Station. The job was due to start the day after he was married, so he and his wife Doris had to postpone their Somerset honeymoon. The giant smokestacks are painted at five yearly intervals and each takes 110 gallons of paint. Picture shows: Harry Walker on his honeymoon chimney
