One of the world expert on architecture and design for building in the Arctic and Sub Arctic - is Mr. Ralph Erskine -- an Englishman who went to Sweden Twenty five years ago.. He is married and has three children. Mr. Erskine soon built up a thriving business -- because he designs a building -- home etc..to suite the climate -- and the people who have to use them. His office is an 86ft. sailing barge which used to carry cargo along the English Coast. Mr. Erskin bought her nine years ago -- and now she has been converted into a modern office...During the summer the staff bring their families aboard for a working holiday among the Islands. Photo Shows Mr. Lars Engstrom seen with his unique Dome house -- designed by architect Erskine as a week-end- home -- anc which can be even in the cruel winters. It is has maximum interior space and minimum surface area (to prevent loss of heat). It is 60 miles south of Stockholm -- and is reached along tracks through woods of fir and silver birch
