Nov. 11, 1964 - Architect Erskine and his Barge Office - In Sweden: One of the world experts on architecture and design for buildings in the Arctic and sub arctic - in Mr. Ralph Erskine an Englishman - who went to Sweden 25 years ago. He is married and has three children. Mr. Erskine soon built up a thriving business - because he supplies the type of design - so suited to the people who have to use them. His office is an 86ft. Sailing barge which used to carry cargo around the coast of Britain - and which he has converted to a super- efficient office. In the summer time his staff bring their families aboard - and they spend working holidays among the island.
