Jan. 20, 1969 - Sky-Flats Evacuation Starts Today: The evacuation of Families from Newham Council's Ronan Point-style flate started today. Many of the families will be moving into a new 23-story block a half a mile away in Trinity Street, Canning Town. Unlike Ronan Point, which partially collapsed last May with the loss of four lives, the new building is of the Traditional construction.
