Oct. 31, 1967 - Birth of a Bath Exhibition : A new shape in baths is to be Launched in an exhibition at The Design Centre, London, from 1 November to 9 December. The exhibition - called Birth of a Bath - will describe the research, design and development programme under taken by Allied Iron founders Ltd for their new Vogue 1700 series of baths. The baths will go on sale throughout Britain on 1 November to coincide with the exhibition opening. The design of the Vogue 1700 bath follows detailed research studies into theronomic and anthropometric requirements of bathing. As a result the new bath offers easier washing, greater comfort and improved relaxation when compared with a conventional bath. The new bath has been designed to be bought as a complete appliance ready for easy assembly and installation, thus avoiding the usual complicated purchasing problem S. The exhibition has been arrange by the Council of Industrial Design in association with Allied Ironfouniers Ltd.
