Dec. 12, 1970 - Trying to solve a space problem: The parents of baby Sarah Lachat live in a very expensive but small apartment in Geneva. And with limited space available, Sarah's father, Marchel Lachat had an idea of enlargement. He built an egg-shaped bubble of polyester material, weighing 660 lbs, andhad it fixed, following a certificate of safety from experts, to the front window of his second story flat, and his wife made it into a baby room for little Sarah.But, there was a snag.
