Nov. 11, 1971 - Explosion Damages the post office Tower: A bomb blast early yesterday morning damaged three floors of the 620ft high Post Office Tower Britain's tallest building. No one was hurt. The bomb containing a military-type explosive was planted in a lavatory of the public observation platform on the 31st. floor of the 39-floor tower.
