Mar. 03, 1972 - News about the Olympic site in Munich: The technicians are already training hard for the Olympic Summer Games 1972 in Munich. For instance on the big announcement-board they are trying out the different letters and also the Olympic Emblem (photo), so that everything will work on August 26th. The announcement board measures 18, 4 x 11, 6 metres (about 57 x 35 ft.) and is controlled by a computer (with the help of 24000 light bulbs) which signals the athletics-results to the spectators. Inside of the 30-tons heavy board wires with a total length of 20 Kilometres (about 13 Miles) run. They connect the different registering devices. The small score-board (underneath the stadium-clock) shows the Olympic and world-record of the event which is taking place in the stadium at the time
