Jul. 07, 1972 - Temple to be salvaged. work on the salvage of the famous Philae Temple at Aswan (upper Egypt). has started it is a gigantic work similar to that of the salvage of the Abu simbel temple. Sponsored by UNESCO, twenty states have contributed in financing the salvage operation.
