Architecture - Construction - Design - Housing

1971 - After one night the Bridge was built: One night it had to be worked hard and then the biggest bridge, being built by the German Bundesehr (Federal Defence Forces), was finished. Pioneers of the pioneer battalion 210 erected above a motor-road an emergency bridge which is about 150 yds long and 7 yds broad. The bridge-builders in uniform have worked one night for the 172 Olympics for the bridge which can carry 320 tons shall be passed by the cars of the sportsman and the press to the Olympic grounds during the Olympiad. After the Olympic the bridge will be taken down. Te material od this bridge is a new compound construction of wood and tinplate. Photo shows the new bridge in the background the masts which shall later carry the roof of the huge tent
