Nov. 11, 1972 - A white palace for Bolivia's government: La Paz, Bolivia: Bolivia took its name from Simon Bolivar who liberated several south American states from Spain's domination.Bolivia gained its independence in 1825 and named its capital La Paz, The Peace. The Bolivian government resides in the Palacio Quemando (right) on the Plaza Murillo (our pix). The statue on this place is of Simon Bolivar
