Jan. 06, 1975 - Five dead when ship Rams Bridge.: At least five people are known to have died when a ship the bulk carrier, Lake Illawarra rammed the Tasman Bridge, in Hobart, Tasmania, which partially collapsed. Three cars are thought to have plunged into the River Derwent below. Police said the death toll could be higher.
