Sep. 01, 1978 - Endless Hot Water - and no Bills for the Lucky Householders of Chaudes-Aigues: With costs for heating domestic water constantly rising how lucky are the people who live in the small French town of Chaude-Aigues. They have had their own endless supply of hot water on tap since Roman tines. The source of the hot water is a well called Le Par which has a high pressure supply with a temperature of 82 degrees Celcius on the surface. This supply has been linked with a pipe network to neighbouring apartments and houses for domestic water and radiators and in some ports of the village there are open-air hotwater taps from which anyone can draw as much hot water as they wish
