Feb. 02, 1966 - Biggest Floods In Argentine History: The north and northwest provinces of Argentina: Formosa, Chaco, Coriientes and Santa Fe, especially the first mentioned two provinces are suffering from the worst inondations in Argentine history. The waters of the river Parana and its tributaries are still growing and flooding cities and wast areas forcing the evacuation of nearly 100, 000 people and causing damages estimated at 5, 000, 000, 000 pesos which include the loss of many of the countries best cattle. An airlift has been setup to help evacuation and speedy vaccination against epidemics. Photo shows Typical northern wooden farmhouse at Misiones Province, which has been evacuated and later disappeared in the floods
