Jan. 01, 1968 - The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders speak out for Mad Mitch their most famous Soldier: For the first time - and it seems, the last- the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders spoke out yesterday about their most famous soldier: Lieut -Colonel Colin Mitchell, popularly known as Mad Mitch, who received only mention in dispatches for his commanding officer, Major-General Frederick C. Graham, Colonel of the regiment, spoke out for him in a room lined with regimental trophies. Later Mitchell stood on the battlements of the castle and said; I have been involved in something which is highly embarrassing.
