Arkle, racehorse, returning home to Ireland
Feb. 02, 1967 - Arkle Goes Home: Wonder horse Arkle yesterday went home to Ireland. It was ARkle's first outing since he fractured a pedal bone in the King George VI chase at Kempton on December 27. Since then, he has been a model patient in the Kempton Park racecourse stables. Arkle is to remain indoors until the Spring, when he will be let out for exercise in the pastures of Killsallaghan.
