Oct. 10, 1955 - Troops Cordon Off Streets In Nicosia During Hearing of Terrorists Appeal. People Are Searched. Men of the South Stafford Regiment cordoned off all streets leading to Nicosia Law Courts in Ataturk Square - during the hearing of the appeal of three terrorists who have been sentenced - in case attempts were made to rescue them by other terrorists. Every person arriving at the court was searched for arms and other weapons. Keystone Photo Shows: A man and a woman are searched before they are allowed to enter the Nicosia court
