Nov. 11, 1955 - Bomb explosion in Famagusta post office.: Cyprus terrorists severley damage the main post office of Famagusta, by planting a time bomb in one of the private post office boxes. The blast tore the metal post boxes apart, and wrecked the sorting room, as well as the public counter. As it was a Sunday evening, and the post office was closed, nobody was injured. The blast also caused damage to the Commission of Famagusta administration office on the floor above. Photo shows the wrecked sorting room where many bags of mail were destroyed. Mr. Michael K.
