Feb. 18, 1959 - Daylight pictures of Turkish Airliner Crash. Fifteen killed: It was officially stated today by the Turkish Embassy that fifteen people died when the Turkish Prime Minister's airliner crashed last night near Newdigate, Surrey. There were ten survivors. The aircraft was bringing Mr. Menderes, the Turkish Premier, who had a miraculous escpae, to the Cyprus talks in London.
