Jan. 01, 1959 - Troops place Cyprus Village under curfew; When a number of British troops were passing through the tiny village of Agros, near the Troodos district of Cyprus, they noticed a man carrying a large bag, which hethrew down ran off. His behavior aroused their suspicions, and when sear hing the bag they found a number of explosives. The village was placed under curfew and a search for the man carried out.
