Feb. 25 Troops seal Cyprus court - judges searched prior to trial of Cypriot on murder charge: The most stringent security measures were taken in Nicosia, Cyprus, today by British troops at the trial of 23 year old Cypriot Michael Karaolis accused of murdering P.C. Poulis. Sir Eric Hallinan, two Cypriot judges, lawyers and Court officials were all searched before being admitted to the court. British troops full armed guarded the Court area while the court square was sealed off with barbed wire. Photo shows the scene as Queens Councilors taking part in the murder trial are searched as they arrive at the Nicosia Assize Court today
