Sep. 09, 1961 - Menderes hanged in Turkey: Ex-Premirer Adran Menderes, one of the many former Turkey Government members to be condemned in Istambul, was executed there by hanging yesterday-a day later than origially scheduled. The hanging was postponed until Menderes-who was very sick-was well enough to walk to the Scaffold.
