Sep. 09, 1977 - The following two pictures are from the festivities of a traditional circumcision ceremony of a young lad in Eskisehir, in central Turkey. Turks say a boy can become a man only after he has undergone to operation. The festivites require (as seen from the picture) the newly circumcised lad to parade through the streets on horseback, clad in a white gown and a cap, while family members, neighbours and friends attach paper money on him as gifts
