Jan. 19, 1954 - Lesson in War at a Mother's Knee. A mother nurses her baby in a rocking chair and by the side of this lovely piece of sculpture a cadet studies his notes on war strategy. Mother and child symbolise peace, the young soldier is training himself to guard. The setting for this picture with a moral is historic Eaton Hall, Chester, the Sandhurst of the North, and the cadet is 19 year old Philip Jones, of Caergwrie, Flintshire, son of a police sergeant
