Arno Breker, sculptor, with portrait bust of Cosima Wagner

Feb. 28 Arno Breker Works on a Cosima Wagner Bust. Well timed to the opening of the Wagner Festival of this year at Bayreuth, West Germany (July 25th) this artwork must be finished. With the help of his French co-workers the well known sculptor Arno Breker works on a commission from the city of Bayreuth: The young Cosima Wagner, daughter of composer Franz Liszt and wife of composer Richard Wagner, should be shown in an artwork. In his ateliers in France and West Germany the 78 years old master works on the portrait of the beautiful Cosima, whom Arno Breker as a young man had the honour to meet personally in Bayreuth
