Oct. 10, 1957 - British Scientists Tracking The Red Star At Cambridge. Keeping Watch On The Russian Satellite: A team of 12 British Scientists is tracking, what has been called Red Star at Cambridge University, where the atom was first split. They are plotting the course of the artificial moon satellite - released by Soviet Scientists - and which speeds around the world - every 95 minutes. they have fitted a new aerial in order to keep a more accurate track of the satellite's course.
