Solar Eclipse As Seen South Of Tokyo Bay: The beginning of the gold-ring solar eclipse is seen in this aerial photograph taken on Hachijojim Isalnd, South of Tokyo Bay. It shows the bough surface of the moon, believedly mountains, as it cuts off the sun's light and forms a bright ring. To observe the last annular solar eclipse of the century, Japanese scientists were dispatched to Hachijojima Island where the golden ring eclipse could be observed. In other parts of Japan - only partial eclipse was seen. The Japanese call the solar eclipse nisshoku which means moon eats sun
