Up into the outer space The famous Laika Soviet original space dog has followers in the form of the dogs Snowdrop and Courageous (Russian Snethinka and Otvazhnaya ) and a number of nameless rats and mice. This picture taken from a new Soviet Documentary film shows the launching of the Soviet Rocket. A stream of fire and smoke bursts forth from the rocket nozzle and a Deafening roar of the motor. Puffs of smoke hides the rockets lower part and the rocket rises slowly from the earth
