Mar. 22 Quasars - The most mysterious celestial objects known to man are quasars (for quasi-stellar radio sources). U.S. scientists have found for the first time a quasar that emits X rays. The quasar, known as 3C-273 (lower left), is the most powerful X-ray source ever discovered.
