Apr. 17 Apollo 8 Moon View. This photograph was taken from the Apollo 8 spacecraft with a long-focal length lens, looking south at the large crater Goclenius. An unusual feature of this crater is the prominent rille that crossed the crater rim. The three clustered craters are Magelhaens, Magelhaens A, and Colombo A. The crater Goclenius is located 10 degrees south latitude, 45 degrees east longitude, and its approximately 40 statue miles in diameter
