Feb. 02, 1963 - A view of the Field-Flattened Schmidt Satellite Camera installed last November at the Ministry of Aviation's Royal Radar Establishment at Malvern. The camera weighs 8 1/2 tons, has a focal length. of 24 and an aperture of F.l. The camera is being used by the Establishment to track artificial Earth Satellites and with it it is possible to measure positions to an accuracy of 1 sec. of arc (equivalent to about 1ft.in 40 miles)
