Astronaut - Comets - NASA - Space - Spacecraft - UFOs

Dec. 12, 1965 - Europe's Largest Telescope: View of the 98-inch Isaac Newton Telescope - the largest in Europe - which is being built at the Newcastle-upon-Tyne works of Grubb Parsons. This instrument is to be installed at the Royal Greenwich Observatory at Hartsmonceaux, in Sussex. The telescope will cost 41, 000 and all its components are British made. Raw materials for the glass is a gift from the United States. 1967 is the competition date set for telescope, but it is hoped that it will be in operation late next year
