Feb. 07, 1966 - Pictures from the Moon Received at Jodrell Bank: History was made at Jodrell Bank, Britain's space- tracking station, when pictures from the moon's surface were received there on Friday, direct from Luna Storms. Excited scientists at Jodrell Bank captured the pictures by tapping the stream of signals relayed back to Russia by Luna-9. The signals were converted on a standard photo-receiving machine of the type used in newspaper offices.
