Jan. 01, 1966 - Meteorite On Show At Natural History Museum: The biggest meteorite to fall on this country - the half which has been recovered weighs nearly 50 lbs-showered down in red-hot lumps, on Barwell, Leicester, on Christmas Eve. One piece smashed through the bonnet of a car. Another dug a big hole in the road. Other pieces shattered windows. Pieces of the solid stone meteorite went on shows yesterday at the Natural History Museum in London.
