May 05, 1967 - Pictures taken by surveyor 111 after its landing on the moon: Photo shows This wide-anglr ( 25-degree field of view ) shows pertions of the spacecraft in the foreground and footpad 2 - the round object in foreground. of special interest is the imprint of a previous impact of the footpad - just above the pad. It was made when Surveyor 111 bounced about one foot after its third touch down on the Lunar surface before the spacecraft came to rest in its final landing site. In the bottom of the depression is imprinted the honeycomb pattern of the bottom of the Surveyor footpad
