Aug. 08, 1971 - A Hush-Hush UFO : This is the picture a chief constable refused to release. It was taken by a young policeman on Monday. Some say the blob in the sky is Venus. Some say it is Mare. others talk of flying saucers. In Dafence Ministry language it is an Unidentified flying object. Five policeman watched the UFO for two hours at Aldridge, Staffs. It was apparently hovering 1, 000 feet up. One of them Chief constable Arthur Rees immediately slapped a security ban on the photos. But yesterday he relented - and distributed prints.
