Nov. 11, 1976 - A Mars Globe Which Identifies The Landing Sites of Viking I and II Photo Shows:- A Mars globe looking down on the north polar region identifies the landing sited for Viking I Lander (left) and Viking II Lander. They are approximately opposite each other some 7, 500 kilometres (4, 600 miles) apart. Landing times were; Viking I, July 20th, 1976 at 5:12 am, Viking II, September 3rd, 1976 at 3:58 pm
