Dec. 12, 1976 - Shuttle Orbiter 101 Rollout. Photo Shows: A ground level view of the Space shuttle orbiter 101 Enterprise during rollout activity at the Rockwell International Space Division's Orbiter manufacturing facility at Palmdale in California. The Enterprise will be moved to the NASA Dryden Elight Research centre 35 miles north of Palmdale, where it will undergo tests flights in the atmosphere in 1977. Those flights will be the prelude to Shuttle Orbiter flights into Earth orbit in 1979 by the second Orbiter (102), now under construction
