Jun. 06, 1984 - Johnson Space Center, Fla. -- Shuttle Mission 41-G will feature payloads designed for each observation, including the Shuttle Radar Laboratory-1 (formerly OSTA-3) shown here during functional tests of its three experiments. The predominant feature of STRL-1 is the shuttle Imaging Radar-B, which is a redesigned version of the SIR-A antenna flown on the Shuttle second test flight. SIB-B has folding sections, and can also be tilted for precise pointing at earth features. Also mounted on the pallet is the Monitoring of Air Pollution Experiment, and the feature Identification and Location Experiment - both or which were also the passengers on the STS-2 misssion
